Was It Right - by Tina Alano
I love poems that asks questions. Questions that seem to have no answers.
When love fails, some people immediately look for places to put the blame. Even more unfortunate, some people find it easier to blame themselves. In truth, putting the blame anywhere else neither heals the pain or answers the questions. In short, 'Get a grip, get on with your life and stop asking!'
The copy of the poem below I have with me has some corrected phrases and some additional lines written in pencil. I took the liberty of re-typing the lines as they were without the corrections to preserve it and added the 5th block in which were still in pencil. I took out the last two blocks because they seemed like they were not yet ended yet but the poem below is good as whole...

Was It Right?
Tina Alano
Was it right for me
to talk to you
and know you didn't care?
Was it right for me
to feel this way
the love I coud not bear?
Was it right for me
to wait for you
and know that you won't come back?
Was it right for me
to regret the love
the love I gave had lack?
Was it right for me to open my arms
to a stranger I had not known?
Was it right for me to open my heart
the love I had now shown?
Was it right for me
to think of you
and love you the way I do?
Was it right for me
to wish you'd want me too?
