Dolphin Trivia
I wasn’t using much of Friendster’s alloted picture uploads per month so I thought of posting some of my photography prowess (ha-ha!). In photography, I’ve one motto – You best capture the life and energy of your subjects when you do candid shots.
This one's from last Saturday's Ocean Adventure outing. I desaturated the colors for this post so it doesn’t clash much with the page design.

Here are some facts I’ve learned about Dolphins.
Unlike you or I, dolphins' breathing is not part of their autonomic nervous system (ANS). It's voluntary. It's as though while you were sitting there in front of the computer reading this, you were also having to remember "Breathe in. Ok, breathe out. Now breathe in again. And out."
Dolphins have ears.
Dolphins save people from drowning but do not bring them back to shore.
Dolphins have the largest brain found in any nonhuman animal.
Dolphins sleep with only one half of their brain. Dolphins are conscious breathers. If they should go unconscious they would die. They float at the surface and keep one eye open at all times.
Dolphins enjoy sex as humans do.
Like pigs, a dolphin's orgasm can last for up to 30 minutes.
